I woke yesterday with the song ‘All My Exes Live in Texas‘ by George Strait playing in my mind.
For no good reason.
The thought, that on a Monday morning, this was the best my mind was circulating, was disappointing, to say the least. I have been lazy with keeping my mind clean lately, and this was my reminder. By ‘clean’, I mean higher and loftier states of awareness and purpose.
I am also not inspired to ‘blank out’ my mind during meditation. This is why shamanism so agrees with me. I am going places and seeing things when I travel in a meditative/shamanic state.
Spontaneously, I was gifted an image of a calming meditation that is as close to clearing the mind of everything as I am able to do, at this point, for any extended period of time. I am sharing it with you with the hopes that you might find it helpful.
Imagine a soft and slowly flowing stream of white fabric. It is being carried on gentle breezes. Maybe it is attached to a clothes line, but who knows. You cannot tell. The image of it flowing fills your entire view, and you cannot see where it starts or ends. It undulates and moves as if swirls of air are around it. You can barely see a hint of the light blue sky behind it.
Thats it. Just watch the fabric move till you are clear, calm and centered.
Paramahansa Yogananda, an Indian yogi and guru who introduced millions of westerners to the teachings of meditation and Kriya Yoga through his book, Autobiography of a Yogi, lived in the first half of the 20th Century. He wrote numerous books and I have loved him most of my life.
He speaks of multiple worlds:
“The universe is teeming with life. Even what people think of barren planets are manifestations of consciousness, and therefore are not really ‘dead.’ God’s consciousness is at the heart of every atom, ever seeking to express itself outwardly. All life gradually evolves toward outward expression. Materialistic science believes that life appears by accident, out of a mere combination of chemicals. Spiritual ‘science’ , however, discovered long ago that, at the heart of everything, dwells the infinite consciousness. “

Love Always Wins
There are a couple of you that question this sentiment. Perhaps you have reasons to believe Love doesnt always win. But consider this: In All of Creation there is duality. But the scales tip in one direction and that is Love. Proof? The Sun comes up every day. I did nothing yesterday to deserve this, and yet it is so. And tonight, the sky is full of stars, and even a bright silver orb called the moon. I have ears to hear the birds sing. A nose that can smell flowers. Eyes to see the enormity of Creation. And all this, even on a ‘bad’ day. We swim in Love.
Why Do I Capitalize The Word DREAM?
I capitalize the word Dream, for the same reason Johnny Cash wore black. Kinda.
Until present day society recognizes the incredible gifts given to us nightly for free,
via our Dreams,
I will capitalize the word Dream
in an effort to bring greater awareness.
My Conversation with Air
I am sitting atop a mountain in the Himalayas; unaffected by temperature. I request to speak with Air. Yes, the very stuff that surrounds everything.
Air generously and with great speed, accepts my request.
Me: “I would like to know more about you. Please”
Air: “Well, as I swirl up here on this magnificent mountain, the air is clean. The thoughts and words of humans tend to drop through the environment, much like cold air drops, ( heat rises) and there can be psychic congestion where there are alot of people. Unless you have a power spot to filter and clean it efficiently, like this mountain, or the woods or the ocean. Your friend asked how she can better serve the world. Air recommends thinking good thoughts and saying kind words. These contribute to the psychic field in a positive and healing way. We can change the world this way.”
Me: “Thats a great idea and thank you.”
Air: ” Your welcome. Oh…and Susan, you need to get your facts straight. I am the element that presaged all the other elements at the moment of creation.”
Me: “No way! Fire was abundantly clear in telling me, it was (and still is) the force of all creation! There is no way I am going to be able to consider it any other way!”
Air: ” Of course Fire says that. But it was the thought ( or in the Bible referred to as the Word) that was the initial impulse to create, followed by Fire. It started with Air, the element of thought.”
Me: ” I can see this and understand and accept this. Thank you.”
2018 an 11 Year
This is a great year to create a better life for ourselves and our planet. In numerology 11 is considered a Master Number and the attributes associated with this particular number is often a rough start in childhood with the predominant challenge being the child is misunderstood and not validated (enough) by those closest to him/her. If the 11 child can grow through this, their power will lie in validating themselves and not requiring other peoples values and opinions into their lives. This can be enormously freeing and can allow space for a very creative life. I know; I am a double 11.
How could this play out in our upcoming year? It could be a rough start with opportunities for us, as a race of human beings, to redefine who we really are. If we refuse to hold on the the old paradigms, we have the chance at infusing new life filled with the values and goals that are most suitable to us individually, and collectively. I am personally happy for this opening.
According to Hans Decoz,
In the case of the 11 (a double 1), it has the traits and personality of the 1 twice, and when added (11 = 1+1 = 2) becomes a 2, thereby combining the most powerful male energy (the 1, Zeus) with the equally potent female energy (the 2, Hera). Considering that the 1 and the 2 are on opposite ends of the spectrum and the sum of their combined attributes pretty much overshadows all other attributes assigned to the numbers 3 through 9 you can perhaps imagine a merging of the strongest, most driven and aggressive warrior, an unstoppable masculine energy, with the supremacy of the most intuitive, feminine, and cunning goddess. And even that does not reveal the true essence of the 11 Master number: The 11 symbolizes the potential to push the limitations of the human experience into the stratosphere of the highest spiritual perception; the link between the mortal and the immortal; between man and spirit; between darkness and light; ignorance and enlightenment. This is the ultimate symbolic power of the 11.
Hmmm…well this certainly makes this upcoming year an especially good one to create goals for the upcoming year, so that we can maximize the potential offered to us.
Happy New Year and Dream Strong!
