Q&A: Commonly Asked Questions About Neurofeedback & Brain Training
What to expect during a Neurofeedback Session?
- During a neurofeedback session, you sit comfortably in a chair, with a lightweight, high-tech electroencephalogram (EEG) headband secured on your forehead and scalp.
- You will receive a brain mapping. This uses software to capture the electrical impulses in the brain. The results show brain wave patterns in different parts of the brain. The process takes about 15 minutes, and the data is then converted into a visual brain map report.
- After the brain mapping, you engage in neurofeedback where you get to see a visual representation of the ebb and flow of your brainwave patterns in real time, as your brain responds to the images, sounds, or game that you’re presented with.
- The brain health specialist coaches you during your exercise and explains every aspect of the training.
